WM & SAMS Club suppliers are not required to have a local office in Bentonville. However, we can assure you that there is a very tangible relationship to those who are located here and their continued business success. There is something intangible to a buyer’s perception of knowing there is someone here accountable and immediately touchable that provides a level of comfort in their day to day business activities with suppliers. Those that live the business, know the expectations and the culture in a way that makes them much easier to work with than those that may or may not be able to be trained in the Wal*Mart Way.   2. What are your key account objectives for Wal*Mart and SAMS Club, including managing your business with Retail Link?
We will provide regular key sales contact with the WM and/or SAMS Club, charged with developing overall business results, including product presentation and placement, maximizing sales volumes, and acquiring new merchandising opportunities and objectives. We will be dedicated to maintain, nurture and expand relationships throughout the merchandising divisions including DMM’s, GMM’s, Buyers, Assistants and Replenishment Analysts. We can utilize the many aspects of Retail Link to proactively initiate and drive POS increases, turns, margins, in-stocks and forecast accuracy. We will utilize this information to further expand current product success and new product modular placements throughout all departments and categories.

  3. What kinds of responsibilities will BST assist the supplier with?
BST will lead our support team to establish and execute the SUPPLIER’S business plans and strategic initiatives. In addition, we will: 1. Execute SUPPLIER programs effectively (Work with supply chain to track fulfillment, manage replenishment, etc.) 2. Drive development of our SUPPLIER’S sales and marketing strategy. 3. Execute SUPPLIER’S new product initiatives. 4. Achieve and exceed WAL*MART & SAM’S Club sales and scorecard goals for SUPPLIERS. 5. Analyze current modular programs and make SUPPLIER recommendations for future enhancements. 6. Assist the SUPPLIER in program development and pricing strategy. 7. Provide SUPPLIER guidance and direction for developing additional or new business. 8. Support the SUPPLIER in the planning and presentation of programs, including annual modular reviews. 9. Manage a cross functional team including SUPPLIER relationships.
